The Prayer Room, a space dedicated to peace and hospitality, has hosted a variety of events including pastor retreats, youth worship, LLF staff prayers, and missionary gatherings. It's also open 24/7 for worship and prayer.
This summer, the UK Fellowship of Christian Athletes held their men's Bible study here, welcoming seventeen student-athletes gathered to study Paul's letter to the Galatians, led by UK football player and Amachi mentor Hayden Dawahare. Studying the Word together, they focused on the theme of salvation through faith, particularly reflecting on Galatians 3:5-6: “So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also Abraham ‘believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness’.”
In addition to being guided by the Word, the student-athletes were particularly moved by the international prayer wall, which highlighted the global need for the Gospel, a perspective many had not considered before.
UK FCA will continue to meet regularly over the summer for Bible study and fellowship and will likely return to The Prayer Room sometime soon. Like you, they’re always welcome!
