“They may be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
-Isaiah 61:3

At the heart of the Urban Impact Initiative is a deep-rooted commitment inspired by Isaiah 61. Our purpose is to proclaim God's good news through providing opportunities for youth to thrive and grow into the people God created them to be. More importantly, our dedication lies in rebuilding and rejuvenating what has been shattered, particularly in the lives of the children and communities we are privileged to serve. As Isaiah 61:3 beautifully states, we envision them growing as "oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

Urban Impact is more than a program—it's a family. A family that nurtures children and youth into becoming the very leaders of the neighborhoods they call home. In achieving this, collaboration is key. We have forged strong alliances with schools, churches, businesses, local governments, and fellow non-profit/community agencies. It is this spirit of unity, driven by a shared passion for uplifting the youth and families, that paves the way for communities where they not only survive but thrive. Lexington Leadership Foundation is steadfast in its belief of citywide transformation. Through the Urban Impact Initiative, we empower urban children, youth, and families to GROW, SUCCEED, and LEAD. It's a journey towards creating a lasting, positive change, turning visions into reality and neighborhoods into hubs of prosperity.

"Urban Impact fostered leadership in my life. I listened to every word Marcus shared during family nights. He told us leadership was about putting God first, that we had to give Him all we've got, body, mind, and spirit." - Jackson
